Today I’d like to share with you the beautiful wedding story of Marc and Joanna. They chose a gorgeous and unique place to celebrate their big day — a venue called Over the rainbow par, which is located in the mountains and pine forest of Tahiti, French Polynesia. Cause Marc and Jo both come from multicultural backgrounds, their guests were from Australia, France, New Caledonia, Netherlands and Tahiti. And of course their wedding had translations from French into English.
This couple wanted a rustic themed, but modern and nature-inspired wedding at the same time. So I think that they made their dreams come true!
Marc and Jo got engaged at a local cinema in Australia. Jo didn’t know about Marc’s intentions and thought that it should be an usual date with her boyfriend.When it was time for trailers on the big screen, Jo has seen video of Marc confessing his love and with some joint photos. After this video Marc asked her the main question. And of course Jo said «Yes».
So now let’s consider all the wedding decor details. For the main colors Marc and Jo picked up wood brown, ivory and green. Their ceremony arch was built from foraged sticks, vines and leaves. For the wedding signs and a backdrop they made wooden chalkboards, which Jo chalk lettered. Of course you noticed that there were many flowers and greenery. Jo picked up gerberas, roses and alstroemeria. For vases they used empty beer and wine bottles. The wedding cake was made by their good friend and also decorated with leaves.
One more interesting and unique decor idea was special wooden box for rings. It was an alternative to usual and boring ring pillow and it looked like a log.
And what about the looks of bride, groom and guests? Jo wore a simple but very elegant dress Clare by Grace Loves Lace. Such a touching and very cute foliage crown made her bridal look completed. Marc had a classic suit by Bell & Barnett. Bridesmaids wore knee-length white, ivory and cream color dresses that they’ve picked up themselves cause Jo wanted them to choose what they like.
