Fall is a great season for lovely and charming weddings for sure! Today I wanna share some details of one of them, but first a couple of words about their love story!
After several years of dating, they decided to get married. Katie and Patrick were walking in the gorgeous Peak District village of Castleton, and at the top of a dale Patrick told Katie to look down. And what do you think she has seen? Beneath them lay of 40 their friends, spelling out the words «marry me?» After that Patrick got down on one knee and asked one important question. Of course, Katie said yes!
Katie’s and Patrick’s wedding was inspired by rustic autumn theme. They chose beige, burnt orange, brown and yellow as main colors of their feast. In spite of their decor being very simple, their whole wedding looked chic and classic. For the ceremony they chose All Saints Parich Church, Old Glossop, Derbyshire, and as a place for their feast they picked up Glossop Golf Club in Derbyshire too. A lot of decor details were made by Katie, her mother and best friend. For example, they created a table plan, place cards, buntings and an old suitcase card box. All floral decor elements were made by Hadfield Florists. You can see adorable wheat and country styled dried flowers in Katie’s bouquet. Her bridesmaids had little versions of the bridal bouquet, and of course on the table there were similar mixes of flowers as centerpieces. I also wanna pay your attention to the wedding cake, cause it looked so incredible. It was four tiered cake with three sponge layers and one fruit one. You can see two cute foxes on the top of the cake and burnt orange color fall leaves, acorns and hedgehogs across the layers. Super cute! Their wedding car was Series 1 Land Rover that’s why they asked their baker company to add a small version of this car on the bottom of their cake.
Katie wore an elegant white maxi dress with lace appliques and a V-shape open back and jewelled belt by Ronald Joyce from The Bridal Room. A handmade veil and white shoes completed her look. Patrick picked up tweed suit from Victor Valentine and a burnt orange tie with a print.
