The fall wedding season is coming closer and closer and we get more and more inspiration from various beautiful fall affairs – moody, rustic and Halloween-inspired ones. And today we are sharing ones of such weddings – Danielle and Alexander’s ranch wedding had a whimsical theme with a dark, bohemian vibe thrown into the mix.
The inspiration came from various aspects, the couple wanted little touches of whimsy throughout the decor, so they used ceramic bunnies because they have a pet rabbit. They also wanted a minimalist feel with lots of delicate touches; like the parchment paper cone backdrop and the baby’s breath. Instead of going overboard with the decor, they worked with the natural beauty of the venue.
A lot of décor was crafted by the bride, including the cake table and sign in area. The family and friends helped her make a backdrop of parchment paper cones for the ceremony. The guest tables had wood slices that Alex cut himself, glass candles that she wrapped in black lace, a ceramic bunny figurine and a mason jar filled with baby’s breath. Thankfully, the venue already had some decor inside the buffet area that included antique items and animal skulls.
The bride was wearing a black lace top and a tulle skirt, the headpiece was made by her best friend using hematite crystals as the bride is a big crystal lover. The groom was wearing a burgundy jacket with black lapels and black pants for a relaxed yet festive feel.
