This mid-century modern wedding shoot with bold touches is gonna inspire those of you, guys, who want to have a colorful wedding with a retro hint.
The bold colors and geometric prints are typical of mid-century style, so here they look absolutely natural and a bit fun. The main shades added were sunny yellow and turquoise that blend perfectly and look very eye-catchy. Color-blocked florals are the main focal point of the tablescape, there’s a turquoise printed tablecloth and yellow napkins that work well together.
All the furniture is retro; the super cool lounge area ties in the same design elements and would certainly get your guests talking. There are lots of geometric elements, lanterns, vases and colorful florals, all of them are different, there were also some artificial flowers used, it helps to save on budget. I also love the ceremony space decorated with hexagonal frames with flowers inside, this is very traditional for mid-century modern style.
The couple also rocked the same colors: a yellow cardigan for the groom, pale turquoise shoes for the bride and a super bold yellow bridal bouquet to tie the wedding colors together.
The cake was made in soft yellow and white and decorated with a white flower and billy balls to continue the decor theme.
One more creative and fun solution of the shoot is a Vespa. Want to make a grand entrance or exit? Ask your guest list if they have any cool rides (like a vintage car or Vespa) that they wouldn’t mind letting you borrow for the night, and your entrance or exit will be unforgettable!
