This New England wedding inspiration Lindsay Hackney designed + captured has all those moody, romantic vibes we love so much, along with the total elegance that is the Hampshire House in Boston. What’s interestign about this shoot is that the team managed to combine moody elements and decor with a modern and clean-lined wedding dress in one.
With a space as elegant and lush as Hampshire House, she envisioned an intimate elopement for a modern Grace Kelly with an edge. Ceremony Boston provided a stunning Sarah Seven gown with clean lines that showed just the right amount of skin. It was a halter neckline wedding dress with an open back on buttons; the bride was also rocking bejeweled shoes, a rhinestone headpiece and a veil. I also like the elegant twisted updo that the bride was wearing, it perfectly matches her image. The groom was wearing a navy suit, burgundy shoes and a tie, his look was elegant and vintage. I like an original tropical flower boutonniere – it looked a bit weird with his traditional suit and therefore caught an eye.
The tablescape started with traditional elements–raised damask linens, gold-rimmed glassware, and lush florals–which the team deconstructed a bit with hand-dyed ribbon, undone napkins and modern flatware. Lindsay imagined the couple sitting down to dinner for two after their intimate ceremony, taking in the view of Boston Common and sipping champagne before an evening alone.
The wedding cake was a hand painted marble one topped with flowers and greenery, it was as moody and elegant as the tablescape. Get more pics of this beautiful shoot below!
