Moody weddings have become a huge trend, especially for fall and winter. Today’s inspirational shoot is full of cool ideas for those who want a moody fall wedding. Lush florals, a clean white backdrop, soft ambient lighting… All of this adds up to one insanely gorgeous styled shoot, featuring real life couple, Adrienne + Mikail.
Ren at Studio 29 Photography + design teamed up with designer + planner, Midwestern Bride, to bring a sort of sultry spin to the traditional spring wedding. Taking place at Chez, an event space in Chicago, the team wanted to play off of the concrete and industrial interior, with bright pops of yellow and orange, and a gray tulle skirt. Incorporating the couple’s foodie beginnings, they mixed in little accents of fruit into the tablescape and on their darling drip cake.
As bridal separates are a huge trend now, Adrienne rocked one of them: a lace top + ethereal gray tulle skirt by Mignonette Bridal Atelier. To complement Adrienne’s outfit, Mikail donned a gray and black suit featuring pieces from Theory, as well as Hugo Boss. Deb Petrielli crafted a slightly messy and ultra-sultry hairstyle for the shoot.
Persephone crafted a gorgeous spread of florals, with sweet pops of orange + yellow, along with a few poppies, for good measure. The table was completed with orange, green, + blue glassware from Festive Frog. And how cute is this drip cake by Yield Bakehouse? We especially love that it’s been topped with macarons, meringue, and seasonal fruit!
There are different trends presented in this shoot: a bridal separate, moody shades and a drip wedding cake, rock them too on your big day to leave a long-lasting impression!
