We’ve shared a lot of wedding stationery ideas and invitations but we’ve never mentioned what an invitation suite should include. Today we’d like to correct that and tell you of the points that a suite should include and can include but it’s optional. Let’s get started.
Must Have Wedding Suite Components
Save The Dates
A save the date is a piece that should be sent six to eight months ahead of the event. This is a simple card that should contain the bride and groom’s names, the location (if you haven’t chosen the venue, you can write just the city) and the date of the wedding. if you have a website, add its address too. The piece can be done in various creative ways, for example, it can be a calendar or a magnet, or just be simple.
Invitations
This is the main part of each suite, it should have the bride and groom’s names, the date, time, and location at minimum. Go creative with this part, it should somehow hint on the style and tone of your wedding, and on the colors and location to give the guests an impression of what they can expect.
RSVP Cards
Today it’s an important part of a wedding invitation suite to gather a more accurate headcount for seating arrangements and catering.
Reception Cards
This is necessary if the ceremony takes place in a different place. Such a card should have the starting time of the reception, the address of the venue, and the ending time (if necessary). If you’ve chosen to have the ceremony in the reception venue or right next to it, it’s not obligatory.
Optional Wedding Suite Components
Direction Cards
If your guests are from other places and countries, or if you are going for a destination wedding, guide them from the ceremony venue to the reception site. This is a good idea to take care of your out-of-town guests.
Hotel Information Cards
This point is again for the guests who are out-of-town. Include information about the hotels you recommend or just a hotel code or information if you’ve already booked some rooms for your guests.
Rehearsal Dinner Invitations
Send such invitations to everyone in your bridal party, immediate family, and any out-of-town guests.
Bridal Shower Invitations
Though the bridal shower is usually several weeks before the actual wedding, many brides prefer to send these invitations with their invitation suite.
