What a better place for a vintage lover to get married at than an old Ford plant? This sweet summer wedding took place there and was filled with charming old world details.
Both guys love the city of Detroit, Will loves history, and Megan loves antiques and vintage details. The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant was the perfect Detroit Antique. It is filled with history and is an absolutely breathtaking space. The couple’s favorite color is blue and they worked that in as often as possible. The wedding planner the our wedding, “Blue Bells at Piquette”.
The most important part of the planning process was arranging a space that reflected the history of Detroit while blending in the couple’s favorite details. They wanted a memorable party for their loved ones! They splurged on our attire and honeymoon – two weeks in France right after we got married Cafe au Lait Dahlias and Anemones, which were the focal point of our bouquets and centerpieces. The couple also tried to bring in as much blue as possible, which was incorporated with Delphinium and Blue Thistle. The centerpieces were varied and included vintage glass bottles and milk glass with vintage books as well as larger round centerpieces on alternating tables.
Megan was wearing a gorgeous Arlo Gown by Hayley Paige – she dreamt to wear it to her wedding for years! This is a dress with a fully embellished bodice and a layered plain skirt, with spaghetti straps and a crisscross back. Will was wearing a perfect, custom tuxedo drawing inspiration from the tuxedo he had seen years prior. An oversized Tom Ford bowtie completed the ensemble.
