It’s time to celebrate Latina culture through this vibrantly styled wedding inspiration with alpacas. Together, Marcela Pulido Photography and Shantel Dix conceptualized this a beautifully vibrant shoot, inspired by Mexican culture and colors. With the rad IRL Latina couple, Ivy and Terry, were on board with incorporating both their heritage and own gothic styles, everything else seemed to just fall into place.
The elaborate braids, by stylist Cristy Bonilla, are reminiscent of another strong Latina Frida Khalo, and crowns this bride gorgeously! This may be simple but it’s oh-so stunning! The brides’ dresses, designed by Myriam Marcela, have so much cool embroidery and lace details. A beautiful dress of boho lace and an A-line one with an embellished bodice helped to create very refined bridal looks.
Maribel Mendez nailed the vibrant organic floral feel! These arrangements are whimsical, fun and enchanting just like the brides themselves. As a South American animal, these fuzzy friends are important in Latin and Incan cultures – both spiritually and socially. They can represent endurance to reach your goal of having a successful, long term relationship! The authentic decor from Vía Raíz is helping to showcase these two sweeties.
Vibrant and sweet – can you believe this sugar works?! The polvorón table full of Mexican candies and Pan Dulce were provided by Courtney of La Reinita. The rad, custom cake topper, by Bobby Larson, designed of the two brides sits sweetly atop the gorgeous 4 tiered wedding cake by Jennifer Parrish Taylor.
