This southwestern wedding is full of the most amazing eclectic decor inspired by New Mexico. With the help of For The Love Events, funky and free-spirited Madeleine and Chris designed a day that was all about folk-art vibes, peaceful energy, and authentic food and experiences. From real turquoise and sage-stick favors, to handmade tablecloths and candles from Oaxaca, Mexico, this celebration is a feast for the eyes!
The bride and her mother created a colorful southwestern summer scene for this wedding which took place in Tesuque, New Mexico at the bride’s parents house. Her parents purchased the 8 acres of pinon and sage land in Tesuque in 1994. The bride and her family would come to the land often to hike and explore, so she always dreamt of having her wedding here someday. This was a mother and daughter wedding team production from the table designs to the layout of the property to the band to the drinks and food served! Penny Smiths printed adorable invitation suites which were inspired by local New Mexican folk art and designed by the Groom’s mother.
The bride’s dress was originally created with long sleeves, but she altered her dress and created an off the shoulder sleeves with design help from her mother and staff at Vera Wang. She wore Miu Miu shoes for the ceremony and changed into short studded cowboy boots from the reception. The bridesmaids were wearing festive “Claribel” dresses by Ulla Johnson. The mix of colors and patterns is perfection! C was also bringing some major style to the wedding day with J.Crew attire, a custom grey suit from Suit Supply, and a turquoise bolo tie plus a necklace.
