This vibrant autumn editorial shoot combines amazing wedding flower inspiration and one of our top colors for 2017 – yellow – in a modern but still elegant way, thanks to this rich shade of ochre.
Everything about this editorial is a lesson in expertly layering together different trends to make them feel new and fresh: ochre taper candles are clustered together to visually offset a large floral centerpiece, heavily textured chrysanthemums pair beautifully with delicate garden roses, and shades of peach are modernized with accents of yellow, ballet pink, and rust. And, we bet you’ll never look at a carnation the same way again!
Inspired by a season full of colors and textures, this fall editorial was the perfect opportunity to blend delicate textiles, simple lines, and earthy textures. The mood was captured beautifully through Jen Jar’s lens, and each detail was carefully selected and positioned to complement each other and to the overall tone of the shoot. To highlight the season depicted, we chose flowers with textures such as bronze china chrysanthemums, carnations, Chinese lanterns, and the soft blooms of garden roses. The geometric-shaped rings, necklaces, and studs paired perfectly against the delicate gowns from Gossamer. The stationery suite was crafted with brown-toned marbling and gold foil finish to enhance the warm palette. Finally, the handmade ceramic plates were the focal piece to compliment the various layers, highlighting this romantic and modern atmosphere.
The bridal attire was kept in modern style and in the main shade of the shoot – ocher. She was rocking two different dresses, the first with a plunging neckline and in bold ocher shade, with minimalist accessories. The second was more ethereal and vintage-inpired, in a calm shade of the same color.
