Woodlands are gaining popularity as venues for outdoor weddings because it means being close to nature, enjoying fresh air and having a laid-back fete in a forest. Woodland wedding theme can blend with rustic, fairy-tale or boho chic wedding styles, so you can easily add such touches. As summer is coming, I’d like to concentrate on summer woodland wedding ideas, let’s get started.
Bridal Look
If you are a woodland bride, you can rock a relaxed white or ivory wedding dress decorated with rhinestones, pearls, fabric flowers or leaves, and laid-back crochet lace wedding gowns are also welcome! Don’t dress too formal, a forest isn’t the right place for such a dress. As for your headpiece, a greenery or leaf crown is more preferable for a woodland bride as it will highlight the coloring of the space better but of course you can add some small blooms. You can interweave your braid, updo or ponytail with greenery or just attach a single fern leaf to your hair.
Bridal Bouquet
This is another important piece that will accentuate your bridal look. we strongly recommend to rock a greenery wedding bouquet with no blooms because it will help you to embrace the venue the best way possible. another idea is a textural and messy wildflower wedding bouquet because what can be more natural for woodlands than wildflowers?

Wedding Décor
Present your woodland venue the best way possible and use it to advantage. Decorate your wedding aisle with tree stumps or logs, place lanterns on them and cover them with moss. Top the wedding arch with moss, wildflowers and fern. Cover the wedding tables with moss tablecloths or runners, add candles, berries, leaves, wildflowers and tree stumps filled with florals as centerpieces. Don’t be afraid to add some rustic touches like crates and put moss and mushrooms in them for a forest feel.

Wedding Cakes
Your wedding cake should remind of woodlands somehow, so we recommend a frosted or naked wedding cake topped with summer berries, blooms, fern, leaves and succulents. You can also decorate the cake with moss, faux butterflies or mushrooms to give it a forest feel.
