Beth and Ben were married in the Planetarium, Bristol and chose The Square for their reception. Their day really is a master-class in how to go bold and combine two quite different themes in an incredibly stylish fashion.
The couple blended colors, pompoms, space, astronauts, Frida Kahlo, dinosaurs, Mexico, handmade – all in one because they wanted to combine everything that they love rather than a restrictive theme. Given the ceremony venue, space obviously featured prominently but the reception was also decked out in brilliantly colorful touches, all handmade by Beth and her friends. The pompoms adorning the space make a wonderfully festive alternative to bunting and the gold dinosaur place card holders are amazing.
The pair wanted to make sure the day was completely their own and there were so many incredible touches, from the tiered pile of donuts with day of the dead topper instead of a cake, to the painted cans planted with succulent and decorated with mini pompoms.
The bride was looking for something that was light, elegant, had sleeves, wasn’t sparkly, not puffy, not overly fitted & structured and most importantly comfortable. So she chose a super stylish Laure de Sagazan gown and Vivienne Westwood shoes, while Ben was a Reiss groom. The bridesmaids look amazingly cool in their Frida Kahlo print dresses and red Dr Martens.
