If monochrome sounds boring to you, today’s wedding is about to change your mind. Kate and Josh got married in Hawaii, and they incorporated unexpected design details and vibrant touches to achieve a fantastic look, let’s enjoy it.
The couple wanted something unique and very bold, and the bride decided to work with only grayscale—play more with textures than colors. She boldly mixed things up with something like old-Hollywood-glam meets trendy-2017 meets jungle-garden-tropics. The couple didn’t live on Kauai when they got engaged, so the wedding was mostly organized by the bride’s father who lives there. He chose the caterer, food, and location, he handled all the rentals and set up, he even hung all the twinkle lights. The bride is a DIY freak, and she made 16 shell crowns for herself, bridesmaids, and flower girls.
The wedding was spruced up with sparkling sequins and the bride’s dress is one of them – she was wearing a sleeveless silver sequin wedding dress with a sheer white coverup and a gorgeous shell crown and looked like a fabulous princess from some fairy-tale. The groom was rocking lilac pants, a white shirt, a silver sequin jacket and bow tie. These two looks were perfectly tied up and the couple looked outstanding. The bridesmaids were wearing white dresses with silver sequins and illusion skirts and metallic shoes. The flower girls were wearing dresses with white tops and a layered tulle skirts, the little groomsmen were wearing grey overalls and bow ties. The adult groomsmen were rocking similar to the little gentlemen looks: grey pants, bow ties and white short-sleeved shirts.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get any photos of the wedding decor and venue but I’m sure that they were really gorgeous and sparkling. Get inspired and steal these looks!
