Many couples all over the world choose beach and coast as their wedding theme and place, these weddings are romantic and dreamy. We’ve already shared may ideas for such nuptials but today I’m going to give you some more – these ones are super fresh and refined, inspired by the sea or ocean themselves, and every element breathes with ocean spirit for 100%.
Wedding Attire
If you are a sea or ocean bride, forget a usual white or ivory dress and rock something more eye-catching like a light blue wedding separate with a refined lace and sequin top and a flowy skirt, or an ethereal grey blue off the shoulder dress, or even a sparkling sea foam inspired wedding gown. Put on aqua or navy blue drop earrings, use rope for lacing up the shoes. A groom can also rock these blue sea shades: light grey, blue and slate to create a perfect matching look.
Wedding Tablescapes
Your wedding table setting can really create a mood and an ambience, reflect the sea and ocean in every touch! Ethereal light blue and grey fabric can be used for table runners or each place setting, and fishing net on such fabric will look very cool. Add shells, corals, rope, candles, driftwood and maybe some neutral flowers but that’s not obligatory as a sea-inspired tablescape doesn’t need that, air plants will be great. Wicker platter and sea glass or rope table numbers will look perfect with such a tablescape. Create cool centerpieces with sand, shells and candles, this is very ocean-like. Make your tablescapes breathe with the ocean spirit and you won’t regret that!
Wedding Cakes
Your wedding cake can also create an amazing feel of the sea, don’t make it too playful or colorful, make it ocean-inspired. A simple white cake or a ruffled one topped with mussel shells or corals will be an amazing idea in such a case. Decorate it with sea glass, rope, shells or just take a watercolor masterpiece in sea colors and shades.
Other Ideas
Rock a driftwood wedding arch, a shell garland on it and everywhere you want, shells for decorating the whole venue and a large ‘message in a bottle’ glass for guests’ wishes to you. Don’t be banal, rock fresh ideas!
