Grecian island of Santorini is among the most popular wedding and honeymoon locations, and that’s not surprising. This is a beautiful little island in the blue sea, most of houses and buildings there are white, so it looks very eye-catching, relaxed and contrasts with the sea. A Santorini elopement is something that you can swoon over, and I’m ready to prove that with this adorable photo shoot.
Photographer Adrian Wood and designers from Think Happy Events came to this piece of heaven to make this shoot happen. They were inspired by the incredible surroundings and local florals; this Grecian wedding style in dreamy Santorini highlights the beauty of this romantic and unique island. The sweet and simple color palette was blue hues + natural ambers, everything was kept simple enough not to distract attention from the stunning views.
The bride is rocking an adorable pale blue lace separate and a simple updo with ribbon of the same color. The ensemble was created by Athens-based designer Twisted Classics by Katia Delatola. Her makeup is natural and beautiful, nothing too fanciful. The groom is wearing a blue suit with a serene bow tie and amber shoes – so calm and natural!
Decorating the table the designers applied a couple of hot trends of this year: succulents, cacti and serenity color, that gives the setting a relaxed and chic summery look. A pretty succulent and local florals table runner looks very refreshing, especially with that dusty blue fabric; serenity plates and blue glasses continue the décor theme. A little thin-framed wreath with succulents breathes with the island spirit.
The cake is done in amber hues and decorated with quotes, it’s sweet and simple and matches the color palette.
All the pictures were taken in the adorable backgrounds of Santorini, that serenity blue sea and all-white small houses look so spectacular and romantic that I can’t imagine a better idea for taking shots. The coastline and beach also look perfect, the photos are full of sunlight, breeze and romantic beauty, those antique blue doors, rough stone walls and houses that look like in a fairy-tale are ideal for any wedding or honeymoon, look at the pics and get inspired!
