Today’s sweet couple, Chris & Karin, wanted a wedding to reflect who they are as a couple – natural, simplistic, down-to-earth and easy going, and they chose the relaxed, rustic setting of the Stone Cellar. The decor was simple and lovely – lace runners on long wooden tables, hanging greenery and wreaths, laser-cut elements, a classic palette of white and green – all of which perfectly complemented the family-style dining and casual canapés that they had in mind. Add in some gorgeous scenery and photographer Leandri Kers to up the romance stakes with her dreamy pictures, and you have a wedding that’s as warm and welcoming as it is pretty.
The Wedding Style
The natural color palette of green and white, with touches of pink and grey made the wedding venue look fresh and inspiring. The bride knew very well what she wanted, so she controlled all the preparations and shared her ideas a lot. She is crazy about wreaths, so she used elements of wreaths here and there, together with natural-looking floral arrangements. To complement the homely farm feel, they set out lawn games to get keep the guests occupied before the start of the reception with picnic-style canapes of mini hamburgers and treats.
DIYs and Personal Touches
There were numerous DIYs and personal touches added to the décor. The bride works for a wedding stationery company, so she designed her own invitations and stationery combining two things she likes a lot – wreaths and laser-cut. She also created the cake topper, a wooden laser-cut panda and squirrel, which are their nicknames for each other. The bride’s mom made 200 meters of bunting that was used on hooks that led all the way up to the chapel and 100 napkins. Her aunt baked us a delicious wedding cake, decorated with flowers.
Florals
The florals were created by professionals that figured out what flowers the bride wanted. There were the most beautiful wreaths in the chapel, stunning rustic bouquets and hanging floral installations above the tables that looked spectacular.
The Bridal Look
The dress was made especially for the bride by White Lilly Bridal, she gave her ideas, and the designers created a new dress for her adding dozens of special touches that never even occurred to her. The bride rocked a cool and relaxed updo with some greenery inside and a veil. She chose nude shoes, which continued the neutral and fresh color scheme of the wedding and are a huge bridal trend right now.
