Just several days are left before Christmas and it’s high time to enjoy Christmas weddings, beautiful, cozy and intimate, filled with holiday cheer.
The vision of the couple was a winter forest: black, cranberry red and white along with greenery, berries and pinecones would really make the wedding feel romantic and festive. They wanted the wedding to be sentimental, romantic and fun. The bride wanted to get married in front of the fireplace with the fire roaring. The couple are big fans of keeping things simple, so for the ceremony they only had the bride’s grandmother’s wreath and matching garland on the mantle with a few vases of flowers in the aisle-it was her vision for the perfect winter wedding.
All of the table decorations were put together by loving family members/friends. There were lanterns, candles, vases, votives, wood, garland, pinecones, berries. The bride made all of the boutonnieres with faux berries and used wire to attach it to real pine branch pieces. Her aunt and uncle made candle holders with several wood branches and cut we some for centerpieces.
The bride has always wanted to wear her mom’s wedding dress, which was bought back in 1984. It was an off the shoulder dress with a lace bodice and a full skirt. The bridesmaids were rocking mismatched black dresses, the maids of honor were wearing sparkly black gowns. The groom was wearing a black suit with a black tie.
