This wedding shoot took place at a rustic barn and included rustic and boho charm and a bit of luxurious touches.
Autumn is over but we still enjoy fantastic weddings and photo shoots that are infused with gorgeous and sumptuous colors. This shoot demonstrates that you can have a luxe wedding in a rustic setting. Couples who want something personal and intimate but also like the idea of injecting elements of luxury need not choose a venue or décor which immediately ‘fits’ their brief. Playing with contrasting colors and textures creates something original and exciting!
The stylist wanted to create a personal shoot which combined luxurious rich tones and modern couture against a rustic barn setting. The detailing and gutsiness of the wedding dress complete with on-trend fringing and a daring thigh-high split inspired me to create a concept full of contrasting textures, metallics and shapes. This gown has an air of sophisticated-cheekiness, and so it was important to showcase that element in some of the other non-traditional choices that were made, such as the accessories and jewelry.
Patrick’s Barn is an intimate venue, with a huge potential to host weddings which embrace the English countryside. Being a working farm and brewery and the timeliness of the shoot gave the team the inspiration to create a wedding breakfast with Harvest at its heart. The Garden Chef took this idea and not only created a fantastic ginger cake with salted caramel dripping and adorned with seasonal fruits but also created a banquet of pies and English tarts and puddings all with a rustic homemade feel.
The wedding ceremony space was done with a geometric arch, lots of dried greenery and blooms and a boho rug.
The table was styled with dried blooms, a mauve tablecloth, elegant candleholders and glasses.
The lounge was truly Moroccan, with jewel tone pillows, candles and candleholders, a carved screen.
The second tablescape was done with a lilac runner, bright blooms and candles plus cards and napkins.
