When planning a beach wedding, you have so much more décor possibilities and ideas than simple starfishes and shells that set our teeth on edge already. Val’s Wedding event planners with the help of the most awesome creative vendors put together a stunning and no ordinary soiree in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for Rocio and Orestes. The place itself is like a paradise on the earth: a surreal turquoise ocean backdrop, gorgeous palm trees, amazing architecture… So, it was essential for the planners to keep things authentic, simple and beautiful when arranging an intimate affair for the lovebirds and their closest people.
The ceremony started early: at the sunrise under the white beach altar Rocio and Orestes said their vows to each other in front of their friends and family. It was a flawless beginning of the day as well as their new chapter in life as a husband and a wife.
Then their party continued at Jellyfish beach restaurant decorated in mostly neutral tones with a few infusions of turquoises and blushes. I love that abundance of flowers and textures that really creates this festive mood. The décor doesn’t really follow the classic beach theme, but every detail remains us of the sea life whether it’s a sequin table runner looking like a mermaid tail or inlaid with stones table numbers with a string of pearls. What’s also remarkable that this wedding is filled with DIY details from bridal bouquets to an amusing caricature family portrait. As for the fashion, the bride nailed both of her looks: romantic and flowing as well as glamorous and chic.
The Torres family wedding lasted the whole day but it felt like it was only a few minutes for them. They celebrated their love that day and thanks to these photographs by Asia Pimentel they will cherish their memories forever.
