This wedding is stunning for sure, all the décor details are perfectly chosen and united with rustic style. You can consider it a good example of this type of weddings and boldly repeat some of the elements.
Ana and Ben met at college café, at first they were “just friends” for a long time, but one day they found out that their goals and beliefs are similar so it gave them a confidence to admit that they were falling in love with each other.
There is an interesting story about the proposal. For Ana’s birthday Ben had planned a treasure hunt for her with places which meant something special to them (places where they had a first date, first kiss, etc.). After the hunt they had a cozy dinner at Ben’s backyard and watched movie. That was so romantic and of course ended up with proposal.
For their wedding they chose “‘Rustic Romance” theme that means picking up vintage pieces in deep colors like purple, plum, green with some gold accents. Ana and Ben wanted simple wedding with romantic and elegant touches, something like casual family affair with live music and a banquet styled dinner.
Their reception venue took place in the Hayshed at Tocal Homestead, Paterson that is a wonderful property with amazing fields. I’m sure you’re interested in decorations. There were three long tables decorated with wooden planter boxes with flowers over a Hessian table runner and mahogany Tiffany chairs. You can see candles and small vases with baby’s breath on the tables that give a romantic touch to the decor. If you look behind the groom’s and bride’s chairs, you’ll find a mirror with “Mr & Mrs” sign and greenery and retro styled ladder decorated with candles, fresh flowers and twine. One more special décor detail is a hanging guitar with flowers, this element made this wedding unique and so cute. Of course, it isn’t one music element in wedding decor, you can see Ana’s first guitar case as a guest book where friends and family members could put their wishes.
Flowers were everywhere, even the gold and white wedding cake was decorated by fresh flowers and berries on the top and wrapped by burlap.
Bridal look consisted of a strapless love heart shaped bodice, a Grecian Goddette skirt from The Babushka Ballerina, veil and a beautiful handcrafted belt by Bride la Boheme that was decorated with pearls and crystals. Three bridesmaids were wearing incredible violet gowns from Myer.
