Valerie and Brian were married in New Jersey at The Loft at Jackʼs Barn. Music was the glue that held the wedding plans together, and the couple decided to make The Bouncing Soulʼs 1999 album Hopeless Romantic a source of inspiration for the wedding. Youthful, care-free, alternative, and fun, but still romantic in its own right – perfect for the wedding!
The majority of the reception decor was DIY, except the beautiful flowers which were provided by Desiree Dean Designs. The groom designed their own ceremony programs and menu cards, as well as the wedding welcome sign, which became the logo of the day. To further the music theme, the couple collected vintage 7” records from antique shops for the table numbers, and had stickers made in the color scheme with each number. The wedding venue was a barn, so opting for rustic decor was natural, and the tables were decorated with lush floral table runners. The cake was a mint textural one, topped with fresh blooms and with cute owl cake toppers.
The bride was wearing a cream lace wedding dress without sleeves, partly sheer, that perfectly showed off her tattoos. She rocked a bold red lip, glasses and a floral crown, and covered up with a denim vest. The groom was wearing a blue suit, a white shirt, cognac shoes and a pink floral print tie. He also rocked glasses and a succulent boutonniere. The bridesmaids were wearing lace over the knee gowns in cream, pink and blue.
