This wedding is beyond being unusual, it's inspired by vampires, Phantom of the Opera, 1930s and 1800s masquerades.
Halloween has passed but we still admire some gorgeous weddings inspired by various Halloween-related stuff. Misty and David’s Memphis wedding was 1930s formal meet 1800s masquerade ball. Misty wanted their ceremony to look like something out of Interview with a Vampire, and a mixture of 1920s and 1930s Hollywood glam meets old world Parisian brothel! The ceremony was therefore inspired by a mixture of elements from Phantom of the Opera and Interview with a Vampire – formal yet dark, intense and mysterious.
Their wedding day was dark and dramatic, with candles lining the aisle as the main form of lighting and leading to the staircase altar, was inspired by the Theatre des Vampires scene in Interview with the Vampire. The couple looked at the wedding as a death of our former selves and the individuality from which they would rise again, bound together as one for eternity.
Misty did look beautiful in her Pnina Tornai mermaid dress covered in silk and Swarovski crystal details alongside a crystal forehead tiara and art deco crystal earrings. Her bridesmaids were also the epitome of romantic fantasy in burgundy ballgowns with velvet corsets and tulle layered skirts, and David wore a black tuxedo with tails. David was wearing a morning suit for an ultimately elegant look.
The wedding cake was composed of several parts, burgundy, gold and white tiers, all decorated in different ways and displayed on stands with crystal pendants.
The bride was wearing a mermaid dress covered in silk and Swarovski crystal details alongside a crystal forehead tiara.
The bridesmaids were wearing burgundy ballgowns with velvet corsets and masks instead of bouquets.
The wedding florals were done with dark, red, pink touches and succulents for a moody and sophisticated feel.
The wedding tablescapes were done with gold chargers and colorful floral centerpieces in red, purple, orange and with much greenery.
The table settings were formal and elegant, with lace-inspired candle holders and black tablecloths.
The wedding cake featured many parts in gold, burgundy and white, with fresh blooms and crystal pendants.
