Though summer is far away, it’s high time to get inspired by some beautiful summer weddings and steal some ideas. Today we are sharing a super sweet, casual summer garden party wedding with a pastel color palette.
The couple, Alice and Laura, decided to get married in a country cottage because they wanted the to feel intimate and personal for them and everyone who came. The venue was great, it didn’t require much decor. The wedding took the couple 18 months to plan but it was worth it!
The florals were done with pastel avalanche roses with gypsophila, eucalyptus and lavender. There were garden lanterns down the aisle and on the wedding table, which contained a cup and saucer with flowers spilling out. I love the idea of decorating the venue with balloons – they instantly bring a party feel. Much decor was DIYed by the brides and their families, and they also made a sweets table plus all the sweets on it. The wedding stationery was cross stitched by Alice’s mum because Alice totally loves cross stitching. The couple’s dog took part in the wedding, too.
Alice wore Lillian West wedding dress with an illusion neckline and back, Ted Baker heals, Swarovski earrings and bracelet. Laura wore a Ted Baker dress with blush lace appliques, a high neckline and half sleeves, kitten heals and then adorable pink brogues. Swarovski Earrings. The girls also incorporated something borrowed with their accessories – a hairpiece, a watch. The bridesmaids were wearing cool floral midi dresses with V-necklines.
The wedding cake was a colorful geometric one decorated with sugar flowers and balloons. It had several very different layers to excite everyone and enjoy various tastes.
