Every year, trend forecasters at Pantone predict the Color of the Year. This year there were two colors – Rose Quartz and Serenity. When these Pantone colors were presented as Colors of the Year, one could understand the appeal of the combination. These hues are seen as the epitome of all things current and modern, a sign of trends to come in fashion, interiors and design.
Which is why it’s so cool that today’s wedding inspiration takes an altogether different slant on Rose Quartz and Serenity, giving these pretty hues a vintage-inspired spin. Photographed by Caroline Lima Photography, planned by North Carolina co-ordinators, La Cosa Bella Events, and produced by Be Inspired PR, this shoot shows you how to rock a pretty pink and blue wedding palette, in a way that’s chic, romantic, and grown-up.
Spring time and weddings go hand and hand as does the combination of sweet pink and the serenity of blue. The authors of the shoot wanted to present sophisticated details and images as well as bring in a few playful elements.
What makes this styled shoot successful is that details such as flowers, vintage furniture and antique silver helped to ground the sweetness of the colors.
Metallics were present in the paper items and on the wedding cake adding another more sophisticated element to the color scheme. A striped pattern on the napkins brought in an unexpected decor detail.
The beauty of this color combination is that you can make it fun. This is apparent in the pink cotton candy which did double duty in the couple’s signature drink and as a sweet bribe for the flower girl.
