Today’s laid back outdoor wedding overlooks the Susquehanna River, features lots of handmade touches, donuts, S’mores, food trucks and a very grand, bridal party entrance.
The wedding took place on the bride’s parents’ property overlooking the Susquehanna River. The couple wanted a relaxed vibe for their outdoors wedding, so inspired by Pinterest and other various wedding planning books, the bride’s Mom set about painting colorful signs to direct the guests to different locations at the wedding, as well as DIY’ing the centerpieces. Most of wedding planning was done by the mother of the bride who decided to help the couple as much as possible.
The bridesmaids were wearing mismatched coral dresses – ruffled, draped, lace and so on. The bride was wearing a chic lace V-neckline wedding dress with straps coming into a lace back, her wavy hair was done with blue and coral flowers. The groom was wearing a simple grey suit with a black tie and a white shirt – nothing outstanding but timeless and stylish.
The ceremony took place on the river shore, and the wedding arch was made of wood, topped with greenery, flowy fabric and blooms. The wedding cake was substituted with lots of glazed donuts for a relaxed feel. Look at the pictures below to get inspired for your own wedding.
