Even though planning really started only six months before the wedding date, all decisions were made thoughtfully and vendors were very carefully vetted. Since they wanted a visually stunning setting, the bride searched for a unique, distinctive venue for the marital soirée and was thrilled to find Lloyd Wright’s Sowden House. The couple was obsessed with the 1920s Neo-Mayan architecture and the gorgeous, lush landscaping. They also love that the house has some Hollywood history and isn’t a traditional wedding venue. This architecturally striking, historic house ended up setting the aesthetic tone for the entire celebration, with a nod to Old Hollywood. In the tradition of quirky L.A., they had an unconventional yet beautiful, meaningful ceremony involving crystals and burning sage, officiated by the bride’s best friend.
The bride was wearing a lace wedding gown with an illusion neckline and an illusion back on a button row, she also had an elegant Hollywood inspired wavy hairstyle. The groom was wearing a black suit with a white bow tie and a succulent boutonniere. The couple’s parents also followed the wedding theme and dressed very glam, look at the mother of the groom – that red sequin dress steals the show!
