We know so many of you have fall wedding dates on the books for 2021, and the rest of us are just so eager to plan a gathering again. These romantic, moody photos coming to us from Olivia Marshall Photography and Three Summer Days Events create a perfectly cozy moodboard in either case. Winter in Sonoma is such a beautiful time, but don’t take our word for it.
The team started up at the Scion House, with a modern, lush ceremony overlooking the vineyard and then moved inside to get out of the rain for a fireside first course. The romantic tablescape played off of influences from the Dutch baroque masters with rich velvet, moody florals, and golden winter pears that matched the beautiful menus created by Velvet Fox Designs.
The beauty of micro weddings is the ability to host an experiential dinner with many courses and wine pairings. Following the fireside first course, we moved down to the wine cave for the second course. In contrast to the romantic lilac tablescape in the Scion House, the stylists set a more dramatic, untamed table down at the cave to create a feeling of baroque opulence paired with the modern architecture of the winery. The dark concrete walls, covered in ivy created a stunning natural backdrop for the lush table. The team then moved inside the wine cave to warm up for the main course and another wine pairing. There is something so grandiose about dining amongst the aging barrels, sipping on Sonoma’s finest!
