Moody romance is a popular trend in weddings now, and the wedding we are sharing today is one of these. The couple, Faye and Paul, showed off their personal style making the wedding very atmospheric, let’s take a look at it.
The couple wanted a relaxed and fun vibe for the wedding combined with the beauty and elegance of an Irish estate with the charm of an old building. They love Ireland very much and wanted the venue to have an authentic Irish feel. when they arrived to Ireland, there was a huge storm and it left them without electricity, so the wedding became naturally moody and a lot of flowers, decorations and table settings were done in the dark. Faye and Paul masterminded lots of creative wedding projects, including individually hand-painted invitations for each guest and a huge circular wreath, which formed the backdrop to the couple’s ceremony.
The wedding dress was constructed from three vintage wedding dresses that she purchased in Woodstock, NY, and Los Angeles. It was a vintage-inspired elegant gown with lace inserts, buttons on the back and a high neckline and long sleeves. The groom was wearing a grey three-piece tweed suit and a white shirt, no tie. The bridesmaids were wearing fully-embellished antique gold mesh dresses and slips under them plus a dark lip.
The couple didn’t like the idea of a traditional wedding cake, so the groom constructed the pear cake the night before the wedding with fresh pears and hydrangeas. Get more details of this wedding below!
