Between their love of dark color palettes, muted purples, Japanese culture, and fashion, a moody boho wedding was always in the cards for Larry and Sara. They got married at Hubbard Inn in Chicago, a restaurant specializing in shared plates and unique cocktails, and called on Naturally Yours Events to plan the day!
The couple wanted the party to be one that focused on family and friends, making the day a reason to congregate. The ceremony was short and to the point with handwritten vows and they also tied in some Jewish elements by including a glass breaking ceremony and dancing the horah. Becca Blue Flowers designed the massive floral installation at the alter to resemble a traditional chuppah. The totally decadent wedding bouquet is a first glimpse at the stunning pieces Becca Blue Flowers contributed to the day! S + L chose to have a cocktail-style reception so guests could mix and mingle (and dance!) with each other all night.
Larry is not one for traditional men’s fashion, so it took him some time to find something he liked. The idea around the suit was to display his love of muted florals, high collars, and puffy cravats. The suit is from ASOS and he paired it with a vest from another suit. To get that “high collar” look, the shirt came from a steampunk/historical cosplay shop and the cravat came from Etsy. Sara was already a fan of Rue De Seine‘s modern bohemian style. She was looking for something not so “on-the-nose” white that didn’t lack drama and the East gown definitely fit that bill! Take a look at the cool pics of this wedding and get inspired!
