When your venue is as iconic as Korakia Pensione, you’re tasked with dreaming up a design that shows your style in a way that complements it, yet stands out as different and new. It’s quite the task! But as Carrie Moe of Type A Society and photographer Ellie Koleen prove, it’s all about landing on the right concept. Korakia is full of gorgeous, natural Moroccan vibes, so the team sought to represent that in a series of modern bridal gowns from LOHO Bride and a show-stopping floral headpiece by Of The Flowers. Find it all below!
The stylists brought the gown to the straight lines and geometric shapes of the staircase there and loved how it created a visual pop. With its one shoulder sleeve and fun ruffle on the side, the gown paired nicely with еthe groom’s black suit from H&M. Her fun earrings from Lili Claspe added the final touch of gold. Floral artist Felisa from Of The Flowers to create a sun goddess headpiece for the bride and she created this masterpiece. After seeing how much visual space the amazing headpiece took up, the stylists knew the Sophie Et Voila Gown with its queenly sleeves would match perfectly. The gown’s simple bodice with no lace or beading doesn’t overpower the headpiece but creates a wonderful powerhouse duo combination with the headpiece.
In contrast to the white walls and dress, the tablescape was inspired by the rust undertones of the venue while maintaining a minimalist look.
