Ali’s main goal for her June wedding to Mike was for it to feel modern and contemporary with a colorful edge. They chose the iconic Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs which obviously ticked all the colorful boxes! They didn’t need to add much in the need of extra decor at all, using the rainbow backdrop of the hotel in all their photos.
The couple are also big fans of the tiki world, and they wanted to incorporate some of that into the wedding, but without having it be a ‘tiki themed’ wedding. Ali’s dad, a minister, acted as officiant for their outdoor ceremony and Mike’s cousin and some of their friends accompanied them down the aisle playing guitar and violin. The wedding altar was done with super lush and bright florals and greenery put on tall stands. After the ceremony, they drove out to the desert for some portraits with their dog, Snacks, and ended the night with a reception back at the hotel. The wedding cake was a textural white one with a wire topper and served on king proteas.
The bride was wearing a minimalist A-line wedding dress with spaghetti straps and a plunging neckline plus a train. She finished off her look with super colorful and crazy fringe heels and a chic updo. The groom was wearing a grey suit and a pink printed tie. The bridesmaids were rocking mismatching pink maxi dresses. Take a look at the gorgeous pics of this wedding and get inspired to infuse your own one with color!
