What does it mean to be married if it’s not all about navigating life’s ups and down’s together?! Let’s just say, Covid-19 isn’t just a bump in the road and for many, it can seem like a mountain. However, for Gloria and Caleb, there wasn’t anything that could keep their love down! Faced with the same decisions as thousands of other couples, they decided to plan a last-minute, Covid-19 complaint elopement at Seal Beach.
G and C grew up going to Seal Beach with their families. The beach was closed but they were still able to get a great view of the water, sand and palm trees on a side street and follow local rules. What a special place to share their vows and start their forever.
The couple’s friends and family were 100% on board to help make their day a reality. Both the father-of-the-bride and the father-of-the-groom became ordained so they could officiate the ceremony. Their closest friends and neighbors stood at a safe distance and held signs of congratulations and encouragement! G and C took wedding portraits in front of the garage at G’s childhood home. After years of being the backdrop for family photos, it’s now the backdrop for these incredible newlyweds! The couple headed back to the bride’s parents’ home, the FAB retro, completely original 50’s home that she has lived in her entire life, popped some bottles of Champagne, munch on some Super Mex, and cut some cake!
The florist had a friend who recently married and offered to let Gloria borrow the gown! Ky Flora designed the perfect beachy bridal bouquet featuring anthurium, orchids and roses.
