The fall wedding season has officially begun and it’s time to enjoy stunning real weddings and inspiring photo shoots. There are so many ways to pull off a beautiful autumn wedding or party, but some of the most unique themes give off those fall vibes without being strictly seasonal, like the ideas in this equestrian wedding editorial that Jen Wojcik Photography created. With rustic decor, vintage elegance, and pops of red, it’s totally fitting for the cooler weather to come.
Known for its sprawling horse properties and sunbaked natural beauty, Rancho Santa Fe in San Diego rests on gently rolling hills dotted with eucalyptus woods and orange groves. Inspiration abounds throughout the area, home to some of California’s most beautiful European influenced architecture, estates and wedding venues. The inspiration for the shoot came from the location, Bastide de Bonheur, a private equestrian estate ensconced deep in the Rancho Santa Fe countryside. With a jewel toned color palette and textures evoked by the classic timelessness of Ralph Lauren, this editorial is rich in color, a homage to the formal traditions and etiquette of the stately equestrian homes and manor houses of England, Ireland and Western Europe.
They channeled the equestrian vibe inside with different textures and fabrics like leather, velvet, weathered woods, and more. White walls and wood beams provided a blank canvas for an intimate table for 12 set inside the house, with wood backed chairs alongside an 18th century French dining table. The table, draped in a gold brocade runner, offered layers of texture and a delicious interplay between exquisite vintage gold rimmed china, bronze flatware and cut crystal glassware and the more organic wood chargers, bowls and plaid napkins, each wrapped with leather napkins and bronze bit detail, all from Hostess Haven.
