Great Gatsby-themed wedding in the mountains? So unexpected! This wedding of Christian and Sarah was held at ThorpeWood in Thurmont, MD. It took place at “The Pine Cathedral” for the ceremony and a gorgeous log cabin-esque building for the reception. The bride imagined that the characters from the Great Gatsby took a train into the mountains for a picnic brunch in autumn. As the theme isn’t typical, lots of things were DIY, for example, the table runners were made from old free books. The grandmother of the bride couldn’t come but she sent a bowl, a pair of vases and a handkerchief that were incorporated into wedding décor. The result is very inspiring, autumn-like and beautiful!
