Gilded tapestries, bright blue accents, textured details and elements of a Moroccan wedding celebration is what we have for you today!
Morgan and Wade wanted their big day to be inspired by their trip to Morocco. Naturally inclined to bohemian fabrics and things that sparkle, they knew they wanted the big day to mimic as much of Morocco as possible.
Katherine Lopez of Sweet August Events began to unfold vintage brass dishes, natural textiles, geode stationary and tabletop decor, Majorelle blue sofas and puffs, and floral designs with olive branches, spray roses, and black-eyed anemones. Katherine even spent a full year growing and bathing air plants in her bathtub for this big day – total dedication.
Take a closer look at wedding table settings. The tables are covered with Moroccan textile table runners, decorated with air plants, greenery, blue glasses, vintage candle holders and some Moroccan-inspired accessories. Similar decor was used for the ceremony spot, same air plants and Eastern lanterns. Everything here screams the East and loojks amazing!
Morgan’s masterpiece of a gown is by Lazaro, it has a cool illusion beaded back, thick illusion straps and a V neckline. The floral wreaths carried by the couple’s sweet + sparkly flower girls were crafted by Sweet August Events. The groom was rocking a classic black tuxedo to match his adorable bride.
There was an assortment of wedding cakes to choose from: watercolor, gilded, with various prints and fresh greenery and air plants on top, all of them inspired by bold colors of Morocco. Get more beautiful pictures of this wedding below!
