This wedding shoot is definitely out of ordinary! Set at Deighton Lodge, York, Charlotte and her team have produced darkly luxurious inspiration for you today, filled with mysterious double exposure images, gothic detailing and a very close attention to lighting and detail. This shoot is a glamorous and gothic drawing influences from old school apothecaries, the mystery and poetry of fortune tellers and tarot card readers. It’s dramatic, passionate and stylish with a luxury edge.
The concept was a Gothic Apothecary inspired by the Victoriana trend sweeping Pinterest and the rest of the styling world. The stylists really wanted to capture the sense of depth and drama of the era within this shoot. Gothic glamour with a mystical twist could only take place in one venue – Deighton Lodge. With its panoramic views over foggy fields and its statement steampunk chandeliers, it well and truly laid the tone for the apothecary set up.
The bride was rocking several different gowns. The first was a boho inspired one, of crochet lace, with an illusion neckline and a cutout back for a sexy look. The second was a bridal separate with a top with sleeves and an illusion neckline and a tulle skirt. The third outfit was a lace wedding gown with a deep V neckline and a V cut back, with a lace bodice, and a beautiful lace trim veil completed the look.
This is a shoot that shows romance from a different perspective. Not everything to do with love needs to pretty and pink and delicate. Get inspired, dear brides and grooms!
