You need almost zero sewing skills for this DIY, honestly. And as a result you’ll get an awesome handmade and geometric groom’s boutonniere. The supplies: 8-11/2” felt sheet, floss thread, needle, a thin shaprie marker or pen, monogram template and circular object (like a cup). First, you need to design and print 1-letter monogram (the initial of the groom’s last name or whatever else). Trace around your circular object onto the felt with the sharpie, carefully cut out the monogram, center it in the circle and trace again. Do the same with the initials. Split your six-stranded thread in half, and thread the needle with a three-stranded piece. Then sew around the outline of your letters and randomly from one side of your letter to the other in various short lines. When finished, just attach the boutonniere to your lapel with a pin. Beautiful!
