This editorial was created by The Wedding Boutique and Chrissy Gilmartin Photography to move away from classic wedding influences, the concept behind the shoot was to bring in more high fashion and truly artistic influences, to create a fresh concept for aspirational couples who dare to be different with their wedding decor.
The warm palette of burnt oranges, ochre, rouge, black and gold offset by tropical greens not only mirrors the colors in the Dolce & Gabbana fabric but also creates the bridge to the artistic influences evident in the shoot. Velvety textures, playful tassels, sultry silks and black taffeta created rich texture to mirror the decadence of black and dark red roses in the floral selection. Brought to life in the stationery, the inspiration taken from female Flemish painters is evident. There are Birds of Paradise woven into the table setting, and notably the contemporary lines brought in via tropical leaves, are notable in the modern cut of the bridal pantsuit.
The bride was wearing a gorgeous plain jumpsuit with a deep V-cut and a cutout back plus cape sleeves. She was rocking an elegant low bun, statement earrings and white heeled sandals. The wedding cake was a real masterpiece, pure sophistication. Its inspiration was taken from female Flemish painters contrasted with baroque motifs. You may see several black tiers and a moody floral one that repeats the looks of napkins and stationery for perfect styling. Take a closer look at this sophistication and get inspired!
