Keen to fall in love with a fellow redhead, Eimear was set up by a friend with tall and dashing redhead Seán. From the moment they laid eyes on each other, they knew it was a forever kind of love and Seán proposed just two years later. Embracing their mutual redhead genes Eimear and Seán developed a wedding theme of Ginger Love for their Ballymagarvey wedding.
The couple are two proud red heads and wanted a relaxed vibe to their wedding day, nothing typical or uniform, so it was an elegant rustic/boho wedding with wild flowers. The groom chose tweed to represent him being a proud Kerry man. The bride wanted a soft crochet/lace boho wedding dress with flowers & leaves in her red hair. They also wanted the bridesmaids and groomsmen to wear different colors to stand apart from each other as the beautiful individual people they are.
The bride’s twin sister designed, created and made the ceremony programs, table menu plan & display, wedding menus, table names and displays, children’s games, baskets for the ladies and gentlemen toilet. She also named the tables with nicknames for red heads i.e. Big Red, Ginga Ninjas, Fanta Pants, Sunny Delight, Strawberry Blonde, Freckles etc.
The venue for this celebration of all things ginger was the stunning Ballymagarvey Village. The staff are all extremely friendly, helpful and made everyone feel so at ease, important and special. The food was exquisite. The beautiful grounds and setting, perfect for photos and children running around.
