Have you ever dreamt of having a wedding in an island? Just imagine: sea breeze, excellent weather, beautiful nature, good friends and family around you. Yes, sounds good! Today you can get inspired by the wedding story of Katie and Jake, cause they made their dream come true – getting married in an island.
This absolutely gorgeous wedding was on San Juan Island in the summer. Katie and Jake had four days of wedding events, so it was more like summer camp with their friends and family. And it was a great opportunity for guests to relax and enjoy free time, memorable moments and interesting conversations with each other. And there were so many interesting options to have really a good time: Mexican food night and karaoke, boating, hikes, volleyball and drinks and s’mores around a bonfire. Katie and Jake even took their dog Hudson with them cause he is a member of their family too and they didn’t imagine their wedding days without Hudson.
At first of planning their wedding, bride and groom wanted a neutral palette that should feel elegant and organic. They also wanted to impress their guests with wedding design, but of course with not too pretentious one. So anyway I think they could keep the balance between an elegance and comfort. The design crew Sinclair & Moore helped Katie and Jake with wedding decor and thought over all details. Below you can see photos from the main event which were taken by photographer Ryan Flynn, who made his work gorgeously and skillfully.
I think you wanna know more about looks of the bride and bridesmaids. So they were very natural and chic, Katie wore a stunning Claire Pettibone dress from The Dress Theory, combined it with shoes by Badgley Mischka and jewelry from BHLDN and her wavy hair perfectly fell down. An adorable bouquet with white roses, greenery and cream ribbon completed the whole bridal look. Bridesmaids were in trendy pale blue dresses by Joanna August, Adrianna Papell and Jenny Yoo.
As you can see in the pics the wedding table, arch, chairs, board with escort cards were decorated with a lot of greenery, even the cake display with various types of cakes which was made by The Sweet Side. And it looks fabulous!
Now it’s time to scroll down and attentively look at every photo. I’m guaranteeing that you’ll find some interesting and inspiring ideas for your future wedding, even if it won’t be on the island. Enjoy!
