Winter is far away but we are ready to share some inspiring ideas with you! This is a winter elegance themed wedding incorporating the bride’s Jewish heritage and hosted in a beautiful timber barn.
The bride was wearing a stunning wedding dress with an illusion neckline, a lace applique bodice and a layered skirt, there were no sleeves and to feel comfy in the winter she went for a faux fur shawl. The designer made a veil especially to match the dress, and the bride fell in love with it though she didn’t want a veil first; she also added a pair of beautiful pearl earrings to her look to make it timeless. The groom was wearing a navy suit and a tie, and so were the groomsmen. The bridesmaids were rocking mismatching cobalt blue dresses and white coverups.
There was no particular color scheme, and the wedding theme was elegance, and a cozy barn was a great venue; there were many DIYs that helped to personalize the wedding. The couple designed fortune-tellers, which were used as place settings, menus and messages to the guests themselves. They also brought vases of various shapes, sizes and colors from various shops and the bride made table numbers from old classic children’s books. The couple set up a photo booth table with polaroid cameras, an album and pens for guests to take photos.
There were some Jewish traditions incorporated, for example, signing of ketubah, and a traditional wedding cake was substituted for a cheese tower topped with thistles – such a great idea for those who don’t like sweets!
