Enjoy colorful weddings? Then you’ll love this wedding filled with coral peonies! The fact the blooms cost the couple a mear £160 from Covent Garden Flower Market and was put together by the bride herself makes them even more special.
The couple got legally married in the morning with only their close families and had a humanist ceremony in the afternoon. They filled The Tab Centre in Shoreditch beautifully, the space was a blank canvas with light, high ceilings and wooden floors. The guys were on a tight budget and their priorities were great food, an open bar, and a good photographer.
Ben handled the spreadsheets and organized everything from the beautiful wooden tables and chairs, to the crockery and glassware, the music and the catering. The bride only had to do the fun bits: dress, shoes, flowers, stationery, and all the pretty stuff. The coral color scheme developed only because of the bridal shoes that she finally bought after months of unsuccessful online shopping. All the decorations had to fulfil two criteria: useful after the wedding and/or cheap. They bought white stump candles and grey fragrance candles in jars from IKEA, as well as the candle holders and big glass storage jars they used as vases. Everything else was sourced on Etsy, like confetti bags and the recycled silk ribbon for the bouquet. Our confetti was tissue paper cut into strips, as we wanted big colorful confetti rather than tiny little petals.
The bride was wearing a modern draped wedding dress and coral shoes. Her updo was accessorized with a large peony. The groom was rocking a blue suit and a blue tie.
