Chanel and Ray’s South African wedding was a quirky affair implementing their favorite colors plus dinosaurs and lots of other things they love! It was super personalized and both the bride and the groom implemented all that they love – films, anime series, characters and books.
The bridal and groom’s looks were in the center of attention at this wedding. Why? Because the bride wore a mint green dress with touches of charcoal designed by the bride and groom with the help of a dressmaker. The dress also had gold studs on the chest just to add a bit of edge. The shoes were a present from the husband, this was the most spectacular pair of Converse All Stars. They’re white leather, with scales like that of a dragon. the flower crown was made by the bride’s friend Cynthia but what made it special was that it had little turquoise skulls in the flowers.
The groom also designed his own outfit with the help of the same dress maker. His jacket was charcoal on the outside and a very cool multi sheen red silk on the inside and the design was inspired by My Chemical Romance’s Black Parade music video, as well as Vash the Stampede’s coat from the anime series Trigun. The jacket had tails and pirate cuffs and it was a perfect reflection the groom’s personality. The guests also dresses in a bold way, more or less, especially girls: there were no bridesmaids’ dresses not to limit the girls on choosing outfits.
Dinosaurs were added to table for décor, and so were the initials of the couple. The wedding cake was bold ombre green, and the chocolate cupcakes were decorated with red jelly.
