Retro lovers, prepare to fall head over heels! This stunner of a Charleston wedding is everything you could want in a glam, mid-century, Palms Springs inspired wedding day. From the amazing Art Deco inspired gown to the custom calligraphy leather jackets to the fun geometric details, everything is absolutely stunning!
The couple loves mid-century design and anything retro. For the wedding they wanted to have that feel with a bit of Palm Springs thrown in without making things look too polished. The colors chosen were retro green, dusty pinks, and gold to add a little drama. The location was so beautiful and secluded, which is what they wanted. They wanted the day to feel like it was just them and the people they love. The ceremony arch and the hexagon photo booth were DIYed by the couple. The florals were done with a Palm Springs feel and looked polished, terrariums and gold votives added a mid-century modern feel. The cake was 100% retro with its geometric shapes, there were also macaroons with the succulents drawn on them to tie in with the florals and wedding favors.
The wedding dress was 20’s inspired Jenny Packham one with embellishments. The bride used her mother-in-law’s wedding dress to make her reception gown. The veil was a gold, vintage, art deco design and of cathedral length to match the gold Harriet Wilde shoes. The bridesmaids were wearing green velvet gowns and the maid of honor was dressed in gold with a retro, glam vibe.
