Trust me when you see Claire & Sam’s wedding on the beautiful island of Capri in Italy’s gulf of Naples you are going to want to pack your bag immediately and go and visit it. Not only are the views of the Mediterranean stunning, but the culture and relaxed ethos of the island was exactly what our gorgeous couple wanted to encapsulate into their wedding.
The groom is half Austrian and half New Zealand, but spent much of his school age years in Rome, and the bride is half English and half New Zealand. While they currently live in London, their friends and family are based all over the world, and the couple decided to get everyone to one of the most beautiful locations in the world, and it’s Capri island.
Opting for a crisp white and green color scheme to complement the surroundings and choosing the most sophisticated, but totally chic wedding attire, this couple just nailed it!
Da Gelsomina, a restaurant a mile outside of Anacapri proved to be the perfect spot for the reception. 100 feet away from Da Gelsomina, down a winding path, is Belvedere Migliara, a stunning view point with tiered seating that was used for the ceremony.
The flowers and table decorations were designed and prepared by the wonderful Analisa D’Esposito from Flowers in Capri. Given the incredible natural beauty of the island, the couple wanted the decorations did not distract from the beautiful surroundings and so choose a soft white and green color palette.
The wedding dress was in multiple parts with the top and sash coming from Sally Lacock and the skirt from Coast. The shoes were Capri Sandals, and the jewelry came from the bride’s family. The groom wore a two piece suit by Hugo Boss.
