Every detail of this wedding is unique and has a special charm! So let’s try to consider each of them attentively, who knows, maybe you’ll want to repeat them and make your wedding more original.
The bride is event and floral designer Juli Vaughn of Juli Vaughn Designs, she asked Leah of Color Pop Events and New York’s finest vendors for some help with decorations and wedding planning. For example, bright pictures were taken by photographer Haley Sheffield.
This wedding was a second one for these bride and groom, and they chose to just invite some friends instead of family. Josh and Juli wanted to create a real fun for their friends and they did it! It was a whole weekend of events: first of all, instead of a rehearsal, Friday night tacos and karaoke, morning yoga to start the next day right, a double decker bus tour of NYC for the cocktail hour and a pajama brunch at the hotel the day after the wedding. Sounds so awesome!
The wedding theme was based on Juli’s favorite painting by Darren Waterston. Many of this artist works feature shades of pink and coral, so that’s why there are so many décor details in this color palette.
Now take a look at the invitations, which were mailed inside personalized calligraphy boxes. They’re designed by Gubba Gumma. And Ashley Buzzy McHugh made adorable agate place cards and menus. Bouquets and other flower arrangements were designed by the bride herself. You can see rose gold containers with all her favorite flowers and fruits: garden roses, ranunculus, Dutch carnations, zinnias, kumquats, pomegranates and peonies. The wedding dress has a simple silhouette but gorgeous and stunning details such as a gold belt, flower ribbon across the corset, an elegant and airy train. The bridal shoes with wings added some fairy touch to the bridal look.
So what about desserts? Josh likes cakes and Juli loves ice cream, they decided to have both desserts. Cause Josh is a video game designer, he picked up a retro game inspired cake. Juli’s cake was covered by sugar flowers with a pink agate slice.
And of course, they didn’t forget about favors for their guests. Juli made welcome bags and filled them with peaches to represent their Georgia roots, things like Tylenol for after drinking night and little custom gifts. On every welcome bag Juli provided this couple’s wedding Instagram hashtag. Now scroll down to see all the pics of this wedding, and I’m sure you’ll get inspired!
