Spring is almost here, and if you feel its breath, why not to get inspired by the beautiful wedding shoots that stylists prepare for spring? The shoot we are sharing today is full of flora and inspiration of for spring weddings.
This wedding shoot by Figment Photography is a great example of how to honor the past on your wedding day. The shoot blends traditions and styles from the midwest’s history, it was designed especially to highlight the beauty and roots of the Midwest.
The authors incorporated some traditions into this shoot that are easy ways to reflect back to the weddings of their great-grandparents: Scandinavian kransekake as a wedding cake, Swedish wedding crown with a twist, Victorian English flower girl’s hoop, and Irish blessings. The wedding dress is a 1970s wedding gown modified to fit a current style, the engagement ring is from the 1920s, and everything else was handmade to blend a history of tradition with modern style.
The bridal look was done with twisted curly hairstyle, and adorable headpiece plus the above mentioned dress. The groom was dressed in a simple and relaxed way: grey checked pants and a white shirt with no tie.
The table was styled with a lush floral centerpiece with greenery, pastel linens, silver flatware and sheer chargers that added a modern feel to the setting. What a nice way to mix old and new in one!
