Make yourself an iced tea and settle in for the sweet Southern wedding we are sharing with you today. It’s timeless, full of beautiful details – a classic southern wedding with lots of botanical details and touches.
The bride wanted more formal religious ceremony and a fun outdoor reception, that had an ethereal and romantic vibe. So the ceremony took place in the most beautiful church of Savannah, it was classic, subtle, devotional. It was religious and traditional, though slightly unconventional as all the music was instrumental.
The bride wanted the look of asymmetry and greenery when it came to the bouquets and reception décor. The florist Kim actually used a lot of pieces from her own home and garden for the reception, which brought that personal touch. Each table being a pot of herbs and greenery.
Groom John is a chef, and he and his bride Sarah’s love for food is one most of us definitely share. They even served a fun ‘his ‘n’ hers’ wedding menu, with the bride including her dad’s fave dish – how sweet is that? There was a three tiered naked white almond cake.
The bride was wearing a romantic off the shoulder lace gown and cathedral veil – the veil was a must for the church ceremony, and the dress was super trendy as off the shoulder is the trend of this year. The bridesmaids were wearing mix and match lavender gowns. The groom was wearing a dark grey suit, a white shirt, a floral tie and copper shoes.
