Devin and Matt fell in love while working at an outdoor retailer, and instantly found they both loved summiting peaks and obscure beers. As the couple has two little ones, they knew planning a wedding by themselves would not be an easy feat, so they brought on Rock & Stone Weddings to help them plan an outdoor event that truly reflected their relationship.
The inspiration was sustainable, Scandinavian with bohemian flair. The guys are both half Norwegian and Matt loves the sleekness of Nordic design, whereas Devin loves the funky crazy colors and patterns of the wandering bohemian. The wedding was truly a family affair. The bride’s cousin made the cake, Matt’s cousin made all the boards for our grazing table, the bride and her dad caught all the fish they served, her best friend made the signage, and her old co-worker made the backdrop, which was done with wooden chevron patterns and decorated with herbs and blooms. The bride also hand-embroidered 64 hoops—each one of them unique—to gift as favors.
The bride was wearing a Rue de Seine wedding dress with a high neckline, long sleeves and a train plus a succulent crown. From the colorful dresses to the hand-painted tambourines to the darling leafy crowns Colibri Blooms created…we aren’t sure what we love most about this bridal party! The groom was rocking a grey suit, a pink tie and the groomsmen were wearing various pants, suspenders and mint-colored ties, no jackets. Get inspired by the ideas below!
